Dedication
In order to become something, you must let yourself be completely taken over. Only after you've been completely absorbed into something are you totally dedicated.
It's a form of surrender. You are surrendering to that which you love. Surrender to your love.
Dedication makes you into a new animal. Nothing in your life will remain unaffected. You'll find yourself becoming the person you've always wanted to be.
But to be this dedicated, you must give without strings attached.
Here's the way it works: You imagine yourself to be something. You become a little bit of that something. You imagine a little bit more, you become a little bit more.
This is the start of dedication.
Pretty soon you can't stop imagining yourself this way. Why? Because there is evidence everywhere of what you are becoming.
You've become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Your whole life is a prophecy that is coming true.
But before this can happen, you must start somewhere--you must take your first step. Make your first step imagining yourself as you'd like to be.
Next, dedicate yourself to this ideal. This is how you become something.
